NCSG Convention Wrap-up: CSIA Auction & Award Winners

Since I plan on publishing a couple press releases dedicated solely to the two big things that came our of the CSIA informational meeting:  CSIA Master Sweep designation and the CSIA Roadshow, I’ll limit this post to a few of my observations and a list of this year’s award winners.

Wow! What a week!

This year’s NCSG Convention was my first, and I have to say I was absolutely blown-away by the warm welcome I received from so many in attendance this year — I made a lot of great connections and even a few new friends. I was equally blown-away by the incredible amount of work it takes to execute this event especially with such a small staff and just a handful of volunteers!

Now, about that auction… That was fun right? Not only did we have a great time in our tropical attire, it was also a RECORD-BREAKING success, for both CSIA ($31,465) and Sweeps Week ($4,517), respectively.

Onto the 2016 CSIA Award Winners…

Sweep Away Breast Cancer Award*: Winston’s Chimney Service (accepted by Chuck Hall)

CSIA Don Leavitt Education Award: Michael Segerstrom

CSIA Unsung Hero Award: Megan McMahon

CSIA Master Chimney Sweep: John Pilger and Dennis Dobbs

*first annual — awarded to the company who raised the most $ for the Sweep Away Breast Cancer fundraiser
